As we head into the peak shipping period shipping lines have published advices for a General rate Increase (GRI) effective for all cargo exporting on or after 1st September 21019 from all North/North east Asia ports destined for Australia and New Zealand.

 

The Asia to Australia route has certainly been challenged in recent times. We have been dealing with potentially negative impacts from Australian port strikes,reactionary vessel schedule changes, typhoons and vessel omissions. These impacts , while dealt with from our platform ,case by case, for clients, has no doubt contributed to the demand for space that is certain to see the carriers implement the rate increase for at least  the short term.

 

Should this be the case we shall have no option but to pass this cost on to all oceanfreight cargo  moving during the corresponding rate increase period.

20 GP : USD 300.00 per teu

40 GP : USD 600.00 per feu
