BULLETIN : NORTH/NORTH EAST ASIA : GENERAL RATE INCREASE : 1ST NOVEMBER 2019

Robust volumes during recent peak shipping periods have resulted in a carrier wide General rate Increase ( GRI) effective for all cargo exporting on or after 1^st November 2019 from all North/North east Asia ports destined for Australia and New Zealand.

The Asia to Australia route, while always busy during this period, has also been impacted from Australian port strikes,reactionary vessel schedule changes, typhoons and vessel omissions.

These outcomes have contributed to the demand for space that is certain to see the carriers implement the rate increase for at least the short term. Should this be the case we shall have no option but to pass this cost on to all oceanfreight cargo moving during the corresponding rate increase period.
