UK Port congestion continues
For those clients importing into the UK over the last few months the congestion has been felt with delayed vessels and delayed outturns. The issues continue, with similar knock on effects we have felt in Sydney, with de-hire and truck equipment now showing strains of the disrupted supply chain machinations. Our teams locally will continue to micromanage with our UK operations to elicit the best results we can under challenging conditions. The run up to Brexit will mean we will continue to face challenges of this ilk on this route.
Europe
The ongoing and unchanged congestions and delays in most European ports are contributing to persistent and extreme delays of ocean vessels.
European ports , in particular Germany are now publishing supply chain issues around container yard congestion, which leads to equipment shortages and transport challenges. This is in the same vein as we see in Sydney, UK, USA. Carriers off schedule in a global framework ,during a pandemic, has disrupted the general flow of cargo, and the frameworks ,under pressure, are showing cracks.
In summary , the global logistics framework has and will continue to face challenges to return to a reliable schedule in all aspects in the short term.
