CONTAINER CONDITION

We wish to remind you of your responsibility to inspect containers to ensure the safe carriage of your goods and to avoid any claims made by the carrier for container damages.

Export Shipments – inspection before packing

Please ensure that you properly inspect containers prior to packing.  You should only pack your goods into a container after you have established that the container is in good condition and suitable for the carriage of your goods.  If you pack your goods into a container that is damaged or unsuitable, you may prejudice your right to claim against the carrier for any loss or damage to your goods caused during transit.  In the event the container is damage or unsuitable, please immediately contact us for assistance.

Import Shipments – inspection upon arrival/during unpacking

Please ensure that you properly inspect containers upon arrival and during unpacking.  If you discover pre-existing damage to a container, please immediately contact us and provide details/photos of the damage.  We  then notify the carrier and avoid any claims in relation to container damages caused during the voyage.  Please note that you are liable for container damages caused while under your care and custody.
