BULLETIN : POTENTIAL SERVICE DELAYS : DEPARTURE OF AGRICULTURE, WATER AND THE ENVIRONMENT
DEPARTURE OF AGRICULTURE, WATER AND THE ENVIRONMENT
A notice has been received from the department warning of possible delays.
“Due to recent interception of Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium), the department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment will be diverting a number of staff to the emergency response, in particular inspections and treatments required at a number of locations around the country.
This additional workload associated with the khapra beetle emergency response may impact the department’s capacity to meet published service standards in the Client Service Charter over the coming weeks.
Our concern is that this will require the redirection of resources from already stretched sectors of the department.
Our teams will liaise directly with clients who may have pending inspections.
Should you have any questions on the above subject matter please contact our office directly.
