There have been some recent negative impacts on airfreight cargo arriving into Melbourne. We have faced some delays as terminals have been directed to close in the interest of public safety.
Please know our teams remain in constant contact with terminals effected in a bid to minimise delays where possible.

Qantas Freight has paused operations in Melbourne freight terminals in response to advice from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. Terminals will remain closed until at least midnight 5 Aug 2020 and freight cannot be lodged or collected at either terminal. They advise they are currently working closely with the department to ensure they can resume operations as soon as possible.

Until further notice, Menzies Aviation (Melbourne) will continue to be operate with reduced operating hours. Menzies terminal will only be accepting and delivering international freight, empty ULDs and CTO transhipments between the hours of 06:00AM and 14:30PM MON-SUN. Any adjustments to this will be communicated to our airline customers, placed into agent boxes and posted at reception. We will consider ad hoc requests outside these hours by mutual agreement with 24hrs notice. Site safety rules as included in driver induction kiosks.

Dnata have advised as at 04/08/2020 their Melbourne Cargo Terminal is open for business, fully resourced and operating as normal.
Dnata advises they take the health and well-being of staff, and all industry partners, very seriously. They have announced they are working closely with the Department of Health and Human Services and are strictly complying with their directives to ensure best practices are followed.
